Writing a book was the easy part. Marketing and promoting it? Not so much. I'll admit, I'm still learning the ropes, navigating the world of book promotion as I go. It's a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns, but I'm determined to figure it out.
Today, I found myself in a bit of a predicament. I thought I was going to be featured in a blog post about my book, but it turned out to be about me instead. Cue the panic. I've never been comfortable with self-promotion. Writing has always been my preferred method of communication - a way to share my thoughts and ideas without having to directly engage with others.
But today, I'm challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone. I'm going to embrace the spotlight and acknowledge my own accomplishments. It's not something that comes naturally to me, but I know it's important.
Growing up in the '80s, it was all about hard work and pushing yourself to be better. We didn't rest on our laurels; we kept striving for more. But somewhere along the way, I forgot to appreciate myself and my achievements.
So here's my challenge to you: take a moment to acknowledge yourself and everything you've accomplished. Don't brush off compliments or downplay your achievements. You deserve every bit of recognition that comes your way.
Today, let's seize the day and remind ourselves that we are worth it. We can do this. We are deserving of all the accolades that come our way. Let's embrace our worthiness and celebrate our accomplishments. We are worth that kind of effort.
